Ano Pedina is a municipal district of the Zagoria Municipality in the Prefecture of Ioannina which belongs to the Epirus periphery in northwestern Greece. It is 35 km (30 min) from Ioannina and is connected to the city via very good regional roads with particularly fine scenery. The airport is 30 km (25 min) from the village. The city of Ioannina is connected by road to all major cities in Greece and to the port of Igoumenitsa (30 min) via the Egnatia motorway.

FROM ATHENS — route A, 490 km (5 hrs 30 min)

Follow the Athens-Patras motorway towards Rio, cross the Gulf of Corinth by bridge or ferry to Antirrio and take the Ionian motorway to Ioannina. At Ioannina continue along the national road towards Konitsa, and after 19 km, turn right at the village of Metamorfosi at the iron footbridge, towards the Central Zagori region. Follow the excellent signposting to Ano Pedina (16 km). The MONOPATIA Hotel awaits you perched on one of the five hills that surround the village, the hill of Ai-Lia.

FROM ATHENS — route B, 510 km (5 hrs 30 min)

Follow the Athens-Thessaloniki motorway towards Lamia, and from there turn left to traverse Domoko, Karditsa, Trikala, Kalambaka (Meteora), and Metsovo. From Metsovo head towards Ioannina via the Egnatia motorway. From Ioannina follow the directions for route A.

FROM THESSALONIKI — 250 km (3 hrs)

Take the Egnatia motorway way towards Igoumenitsa, and from Ioannina follow the directions for route A.
